How to distinguish the quality of plastic products

Release time:

1. The formation of raw materials for plastic products:

1. At present, the commonly used synthetic resins for general plastics in plastic products are polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), modified polystyrene (ABS), polycarbonate (PC) etc.

2. Fillers can improve the strength and heat resistance of plastics and reduce costs. Commonly used fillers include wood flour, plant fiber, glass fiber, diatomaceous earth, asbestos, carbon black, etc. Plasticizers can increase the plasticity and softness of plastics, and phthalates are commonly used.

3. Stabilizers are used to prevent synthetic resins from being decomposed and destroyed by light and heat. Stearates and epoxy resins are commonly used.

4. Colorants give plastics a variety of colors. Commonly used are organic dyes and inorganic pigments.

5. The lubricant makes the plastic not stick to the mold, making the plastic surface smooth and beautiful. Metal salts such as calcium stearate and magnesium stearate are commonly used.

Second, the method of identifying plastic products:

1. Touch: Touch the edge of the product without stabbing your hand. The edges are relatively clean, most of the molds are better, and the burrs are also better. It feels thorny and the edges are rough, mainly due to poor mold.

2. Odor: It smells very light, with only a slight plastic smell, and most of them are goods of better quality; the smell of plastic is very strong, and most of them are goods of slightly poor quality; the smell of plastic is very strong. Has a pungent smell, mostly inferior goods.

3. Vision: Transparent and colorless products look very transparent, and products without impurities are of good quality (mostly produced with original granular raw materials), such as fresh-keeping bags, cups, lunch boxes, fresh-keeping boxes, etc.; the quality of products with low transparency or many impurities Slightly worse (mostly original powder), such as sorting boxes, pots, hangers, stools, etc. Opaque goods are mostly business.

Poor quality goods (mostly produced from recycled materials, but recycled materials can be divided into many types, such as recycled materials produced by manufacturers trimming; products returned by dealers to manufacturers due to defective time) such as trash cans, trash cans and garbage bag.

Third, how to choose plastic products:

1. Cling film Commercially available household cling film is mainly polyethylene (PE) plastic film. When you buy it, you should see the signs of "PE", "PVC free" and "Can be used for microwave heating". It is safe to burn white smoke.

2. Plastic bags should be purchased from big shopping malls and reputable supermarkets. There are also some simple ways to roughly identify plastic bags with good safety: smooth to the touch, crisp when shaking, flammable and white smoke in case of fire, odorless and colorless when the water reaches the surface.

3. Another kind of plastic wrap is polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic film, which is characterized by good transparency, not easy to crack, strong adhesion, low price, and obvious scorch marks when burning. In the process of processing, a large amount of plasticizer phthalates are added to this type of plastic wrap, which will release harmful components when exposed to heat and oil. It is only suitable for refrigeration and preservation of vegetables and fruits.
